Hyper St conversion

Have not seen too many of these truggies on the forum, and now the the MMM is out, I figured it was time to start my conversion!

I picked this rtr model up used, $150 for the truck with everything and spares, so a decent deal. Still need to sell the nitro engine, and a few other nitro related parts. It also needs a good cleaning, as you will see in the pics!

Planned setup is a MMM running a 10xl, on 6s lipo. Picked up a neuenergy 3900 6s pack cheap from amain ($125), and the 10xl was from another member here. I will see how it does with the 10xl, but I would really like a 1515 2.5d. I am waiting to buy one, as CC are making motors, and I can wait if they will offer what I want!

Got a hyper motor mount from Mike, and put a kyosho plastic 46t spur on the diff. The hacker 15l is just for packaging purposes, checking to see if the 46/13 gearing will allow the motor to clear the rear chassis support. It looks good, and I have a little room to go down to a 12t pinion if I need to.

Battery tray will be made from kydex, and placed in the gas tank location. I will most likely put the mmm behind it on that side, but need to weigh all of my components to get the best balance.

Can't wait to see this take off. Got the chassis for a good deal

I checked out the deals amain had on neu packs. Might have to check again since I thought the 6s was around $170.

I can't find neuenergy packs on amain?

It was a good deal, got a bunch of spares with it, and 3 sets of tires/wheels. I have quie a bit of cleaning to do. Olny broken part is a rear lower arm, and I have a new one coming. I should have it ready by the time the MMM shows up! Hope that esc is good. I will run it at its rated max with motor brakes too!

I am thinking about it, however I want a motor with a kv around 1700, and they say that the 2200kv model will be the first. I just won a hacker b50 11xl on ebay, so I will most likely run that for the time being.

Ahh ok, i get it have you considered the KB series?

True, but I like to take em apart, so that I have a better understanding of how everything goes together. And I like to check diff fluids, and apply thread lock. So I might as well clean everything as well.

I need to post new pics, almost everything is back together. Just need to make up some mounts and trays...
