Too bad they don't have a smooth can version. There's another thread about them.

Yeah. That 3D motor might be a great competitor for a Mega 22/45/2. I have about $1500 worth of stuff lest to sell, and then I will buy and build the ultimate FLM Savage. May have to try both of those motors.

It should be a good comparison.

Will the Mega undoubtedly have more torque because it has 6 poles?

Yes, but it doesn't seem to be much more. The Neu motors are very well designed. My ACn22/30/2 has about 3-4 (Maybe more) times more torque then my Feigao 7XL.

now that they look like the plettis with a closed front and fixed endbell i start to like those NEU motors. i just wished they had chosen another color.

Didn't take them long, only informed about 1 month ago about them

lucias 05.15.2008 09:37 AM

They come with 4mm plugs.. the monster max comes with 6.5.. Gosh people make up your minds..

teknorc 05.15.2008 11:10 AM

Hahaha,

We went with 4mm plugs because the wires coming out of all of these fit into a 4mm plug. If you are running a 1515/1D, bigger plugs are recommended, but I don't think we aren't going to be offering that wind in the future. We opted not to put any connectors on the 1.5D. The wires are just a hair thicker than a 4mm plug, so we'll leave that to the customer to decide. The 1Y, 2.5D, and 3D all have the 4mm plugs however. We didn't feel a need to connect bigger wire to the smaller stator wires. The higher the turn count, the smaller the wires from the stator. A bigger plug just requires more solder so we (Tekno and Neu) didn't feel a bigger plug would be necessary for these.

How long would it take to start having some blue smooth cans available? I called and someone mentioned a few months.

That is correct. Since these are handmade and Neu is pretty busy already, getting something to market unfortunately takes a little longer. We're definitely planning on it though.

LOL Why didn't Castle feel the same.. Hopefully the motors are still in stock on my pay day..

I dont like the 4mm plugs either. Would prefer for it to come with none so I could just add 5.5 or 6.5 mm ones. Guess I could always just take the ones on there off and start all over if I end up getting on of your motors.

Tried to order one but get a "Certificate Error" on IE. Which may be nothing, but my paranoia is keeping me from ordering through them.
