1512 or 1515 0n 5s for my Maxx conversion

I can't decide which one to get...the 1512 2.5DF or the 1515? for my conversion. I have the mmm esc waiting for a motor, but which one. I was thinking of 5s just for longer run times and of course because it is faster. The truck it self will be heavy, ( I will have a ton of FLM parts on it once it is done ) so I was leaning towards the 1515 line of motors w/ a lower kv rating to help push the heavy truck around.... Of course, when funds allow and Mike has them back in stock...so, I will just have to wait........Delayed gratification I guess.

I would definitely go for the 1515 motor. The 2.5d as you mentioned would work very well on 5s. It won't be the fastest truck on the track, but it will be a very reliable set up matched with the MMM ESC.

With that being said which 1515 would you use...say the 1700 kv or something a little bigger

Thanks for the advice..I noticed in your sig. that you run a Jammin Truggy on 6s. That thing must scream!!

I agree.

You would normally be fine with a 1512, but not if you have too much aluminum, or a heavy battery.

Yeah w/ the Flm parts it will be quite heavy

Yup it screams out really good but no heat issues and running efficiently without any problems
