MMM with 2 pole motors???

A 4-pole motor is harder on the controller. (on the same RPM as a 2 pole) 2 times as hard. The 4 pole motor needs 2 times as much signals to make 1 turn than a 2 pole.

Now i know the MMM was made for neu/4 pole motors...

I wonder if u ran a 2 pole motor on the MMM , if u can take off/not use the MMM fan?

Sure, if you want to void the warranty/play with possibly melting the ESC. Sounds like a GREAT idea. Try it and let us know how it goes.

I used the live in South Florida and it gets hot there. If it has a fan, just use it. I've had 2 pole motors heat my controllers more then multi pole motors. Your controller might work twice as hard, but the 4 or 6 pole motors will produce more torque and require less AMPs to make your vehicle move. If your fan does fail, do like jhautz did: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showpost...postcount=6753

im not going to use it with a 2-pole motor , i have my Neu 1515 1y im useing an will be useing with my MMM, i was woundering cus 2-poles arent as hard on escs so some new guys (running buggy not truggys)could use the MMM with a $70 motor....jus woundering

I have ZERO clue to what your reasoning is here? Get a MMM, remove fan, run with fegaio to save.....what? 3 seconds of runtime and void your warranty in the process? Why not buy the MMM, leave it as it is (with warranty intact) run with a fegaio (or whatever other favorite 2 pole motor you way) for like freaking ever with no failures.

Yes, and you are relying on internet forums to supply you with critical usage data. I'm sure the few people who haven't experienced failure WAY outweigh the ones who have. If folks experience a failure, they are more likely to report it. Those that run fine, don't really say anything, mainly because there's nothing to say.

For the record, I've ran mine in my emaxx, and my hyper 7 conversion on 6S A123. No BEC, no worries about running in dust or not. Just running the fool out of it. I ran in pretty much sand today, no problems. I've run my friend's when he got it, again no problems. I understand a failure really sucks, but I think it may be getting blown a bit out of proportion here.
