Speed Machine
I am looking to buy a On-Road car to convert to brushless. I was looking at the TC4 electric kit and was wondering how i could get this thing to go fast? I was thinking around 60+ MPH on the most reliable set-up for motors, i have no clue if i should go mamba max 7700 with 2s or 3s, or 5700 on 3s, or 4600 on 4s. Which would be the most reliable system that will go 60mph or over? I would like this to be a car i could take out to have fun and smoke some nitro's with it and dont have to worry about it blowing and all that..If someone has done thing could they tell me which KV mamba motor, and best MAH batt and cells on that pack and the gearing so i could order everything at once?
Where could i buy all this stuff on one site? Anyone have a favorite site they use for there needs? the ones i use don't carry the TC4 Your help will be very appreciated |
I would go 5700 on 3s, pulls less amps than trying to get speed out of the 7700 so would be better for tooling around with but still capable of doing nice speed runs.

I am not a fan of the mamba motors I rank them equal to the VXL motor, I would go with a Neu
1506/1d-9900kv 1506/1.5d-6800kv 1506/1y-5500kv I believe any of those motors would scream on 3s....maybe the 1d on 2s |

I got these off of the castle web site, but you could email Mike and see if he could get them for you

For the same amount of money you will spend on the Neu, go with the Mamba setup. I have pushed them reliably over 100mph with no problem. For the speed you want, the 5700 on 3S will work great!!
