Slipper for 1:8 BL Buggy/Truggy
Hi Guy´s
My Name is Stefan, I´m from Germany ! One year ago i showed you some Pictures of my BL /Outrunner Powered Hellfire ! The Car was running very well but I had a Problem with the electric Power - lets say the Hellfire´s Gearbox and Diff´s had a Problem with this massiv Power ! So I´m driving "normal" Nitroengines in my truggys since one Year  But now I want to build a new Electric Powered 1:8 Truggy ! - because I think it´s kind of future and I know it works very very well ! ! For my new projekt it is very imporant to use a kind of Slipper - or clutch ore something that cuts the power from low a little bit ! I use a Hacker Master Pro Controler and yes, I can do it by digital also, but i want to have a mechanical solution ! So is it possible to buy a Slippper Part with works with the power about 2 -3 KW and fits on a normal 1:8 Diff !?? I hope you konw what I mean and i´m shure that I´m not the onlyst guy in the world wants to do something like this in a perfect way ! Best Regards from Germany, Stefan |
There is this thing, but we're still waiting for it to be released. Not really sure how much longer it will be.

even with powerful Nitro Engine hellfire difs have problem!
Try Hot Bodies truggy Crown and pinion gear http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2898 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2897 Also diff housing is too week under the load it expands and you strip gears, why thats spiral cut gears works well in hellfire. |
Hi
Patrick, jes, this is exacty what I Am looking for ! When you have a delvery date, please tell me !! Okee, I think it will take longer Time to deliver it so I must try to build something for my owne ! what´s about using Traxxas Parts ! Does anybody have Experience with this !?? The new car will be a Mugen MBX 5 Prospec BT/BL ! The Diffs and Gears are may be strong enough to use without a slipper but i want to place one may be two in my car ! Best Regards, Stefan |
I have a BPP with Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium's drive train and they handle the power of a Neu 1521 very well.

Stefan, The slipper diff shown above actually was developed to use the revo clutch pads, and was based off the ofna diff length. The Revo clutch is the best clutch I have ever tried. However, the Traxxas pads limited the spur to a 50T, which is difficult to integrate into a buggy. So we're changing course a bit to make the assembly more compact and it'll will be based on the mugen diff length first. For this reason, launch is taking longer. The good news is it will be made from more higher-production methods rather than CNC'd, which takes longer but will ultimately make it more affordable for you. For the original ofna length, I'm not sure if Mike will have some made on an as needed basis or what but all the parts are compatible between the two diff sizes. I can vouch that these will save your drivetrain from the constant impacts and launch power it sees. You can see more pics of the first slipper prototype installed in a truggy at this thread....... http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5371 Cheers. |
