I wanted to do up a K3 but couldn't find any at the time I was looking. One of the shops in Australia still has one but wasn't paying $1149AUS for it

Wow, that's around $1,000 USD. I got lucky, it took awhile but I finally found a roller on EBay that I won for about $200. I sold the nitro parts (Fuel tank, motor mounts, clutch, etc.) to help pay for some of the conversion parts. As a bonus the roller came with some aftermarket parts (cnc knuckles, shock towers).
