New Tekin 3400 Lipo

Tekin bringing out a new 3400 lipo which can be charged at 2C and is 23C. Has cell grooves on the bottom to be able to snuggle in battery slots and also has balancing port on the top. Also is ROAR Legal.

Bit more info
Ultrasonic welded Polycarbonate hard case
4.0mm Gold plated female HighPower connection ports
4.0mm Gold plated male HP connectors with wire
Cleated bottom for a tight fit in chassis with 6 cell cut outs
2.0mm balancing port and 2.0mm balance connector with wire
Tekin also say that it is that good that it will hardly need balancing

Wish some company would take the small footprint of a battery like this and make it a 2s2p 6400 -just making it taller....THAT would be awesome and great for our 1/8th conversions.

Already roar approved! We do intend to offer some larger capacities for 1/8 scale. We are watching to see what the market wants, 4s, 5s, 6s? 2 packs? 160mm x 55mm super large cells or a 1/10 footprint stacked tall. 4 of these packs is a pretty good pile. We already have drivers using them in a 2S2p 6800 for long 1/10 electric mains.

Personally I would like 6s with the longer and wider cells to keep the c.o.g low. However I think Roar will end up making us run 2 packs that meet the standard 10th scale requirements. That would limit us to 4s and around 5k mah. It should atleast be interesting to see what Roar comes up with when they made a class out of this.

+1...think E-Revo...lots of those puppies selling...

Roar will do what we ask them if it makes sense and we get involved and speak up. I intend to be part of any discussions on 1/8 rules with roar.

A larger cell size than used 1/10 makes sense. First questions are do we even have cell capacity or voltage limits? How long are the races and will there be battery changes? Will there be different speed classes or all mod?

Our guess is a 5000mah to 7000mah at 4s or maybe 5s. 15min to 20min races or plan on a batter change. 2 packs in some cars and a single larger pack in some cars.

E-Revo is set up for 2 - 1/10 size packs? I guess we need one:intello:

I agree with the idea of why put cell size/ voltage limits. Seems silly. The limits will be found by the vehicles and the weight. If you want to run 4s 6000 then do it. If you want to run 6s 3700mah. They should both create similar power and run times. Its just that one is done with volts and the other is done with more amps.

I would love to see a 4s 5000mah hard shell pack in a single pack format available, and for that matter a 5s 4350mah hard shell or a 6s 3700mah. They would all be perfect size for 15 minute 1/8 buggy races. Then Roar doesnt have to worry about voltage or capacity standards. Just dictate some safty standards and be done with it.

No knock against Tekin - but that comment right there explains all the bs about how corrupt the rule making process is - any further questions about how Novak has kept the sensored BL rules in place???

I vote for a 4s and 5s w/ 6k mah

If you say roar will do it then I would prefer 6s and bigger dimensions.

Yeah 5S are starting to become more popular lipo with the 1/8 scale
