Need Motor Advice
 

Have pre-ordered the ERevo along with some MaxAmps 2s2p 8k's. I was planning on getting the Tekno 1515 1.5D but they sold out. My next choice would be the 1515 1Y or the 1515 2.5D. I'm just a basher who likes speed and running WOT in the hot South Carolina sun. From what I understand the lower kv rating of the 1Y will still give me good top end with plenty of torque, but will also take a 5s lipo too. I'm starting out with the 2s2p MA lipo's but I see more lipos of a higher cell count in my future. 5s definitely. 6s probably.

I think the 1Y is the best middle ground for my type of driving, but before I hit the "submit" button on the order, I'd like some opinions.

1515 2.5D at 1650 will run up to 6s+ but is happy on 4s and can be geared up easily...

I'm liking mine...

What do you normally run on that motor, a four cell?

What kind of speeds do you get?

these are my suggestions for a happy running system

1515/1y(2200kv) - 4s
1515/2d (2000kv) -5s
1515/2.5d (1650kv)-6s

I like to aim for 35,000-40,000 total rpms when putting together a set up
