2.4 GHz but which one?
I need some advice. I am looking for a new radio for an E-Maxx and a E-Revo.
2 channel or 3, Futaba or Spektrum and why? Spektrum DX2 good?? |
For what it's worth I've had the Futaba Fast and I have the Spektrum DX3.0 and DX2.0. The fast is great and the only complaint I have is when Mike (monster) informed me that the MGM controller is not compatible with the Fast system, so I sold it and got the DX3.0. I love it no issues at all, I liked it so much I went out and got the DX2.0 for my buggy, again no issues at all, it's easy to program and works quite well.
There is member selling both of his radio systems in the forum (DX3.0 and DX2.0) I think both are like 3 months old.. Best of luck in your venture to get new toy!.. Have a great one.. |
Futaba FASST. I had no problems on mine. In fact, I bought a second one for my 8-year old son so he doesn't have to take turns with mine.
|
MGM works with FASST and with newwest firmware even with HRS
Went from 3PM 2.4 to DX3R and just love the huge display and only 4 batteries. Also receiver is much smaller which is nice plus for my 1/18 trucks 3PM is better than DX3.0/2.0 It is very nice radio, but the wheel sucks and needs replacement for something better |
I also have the dx3r and really lilke it. The thing is so light. The only thing I miss from my helios is the ability to slow down the servo.
|
Im using the FASST 3pm system. I like it.

Yup, those are the things you need for your emaxx and Erevo. Welcome to the 2.4GHz club :intello::party::party:.
|
I have the Futaba FASST with my MGM 16018, i'am on HRS mode, and i find that the response time is realy slow. They've a delay between the triger input and controller reaction.
But when i use it with my nitro savage, no problem at all. Seem like it's the controller the problem |
