Anyone tried Dual Mamba 4600's on the New Maxx?

I just picked up a Pair of Mamba Max ESC's and a brand new pair of MM 4600 motors.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this?

What kind of gearing should I go with?

I'm thinking about running it on a pair of 3S 5000mah 20C Lipos. 4S maybe, but motor temps will be hard to control. 4S is a bit much for the motors from what I hear.

A pair of heat sink fan clamps for the motors. A fan mounted on each ESC will help.

Can't forget the CC BEC to run all the fan and servos with. Let's set that to 6 volts.

Do the motors have the newer 4mm plugs? I heard that the rotor was getting an upgrade too but I don't know when that happens.

These plugs looks like all the other MM plugs.

I just realized about the length of motor shaft issue with the New E maxx.

The motor shaft has to be 20mm in length to line up perfectly with the end of the pinion gear. These are 17mm in length.

Hmmmmmmm...........I also have a Traxxas Villain Boat these might work well in.

FWIW, 2 new 4600's I just bought have the new Castle 4mm plugs.
