Muggy, or savage?
I have always wondered this, so im going to ask, get people opinions
The savage is way to cool with the new FLM chassis and all those bits But a Muggy has always been in my mind:mdr: My winter project is a buggy, but for summer I want to build a truck:mdr: So lets hear what you guys have to say! Main thing for me is how strong the truck is, the muggy is somewhat a truggy still, while a savage is a all out truck, but there both huge beasts of cars Feel free to post pics, vids, set ups etc:smile: |
I wish I could tell you how tough the electric savage it but I can't . My nitro savage though is a tough little beast even though I did rip a wheel off it the other day. The plastic has taken some serious abuse over the years and I did hit a tree stump full speed. It was easily fixed though and up and running again in no time.
Personally I would say if you want a MT do a savage or an LST (yuck, imperial screws) if you want a truggy build a truggy. I wouldn't go half way in between. |
I love the muggy, would probably handle better than the Savage. This Muggy project looks great

But a truggy would handle better again.

And would probably be lighter

Well I will be bashing this car. So bashing a truggy would work, but I dont really want a true truggy
The savage would be perfect, but if im in the market, might as well shop around, right? The muggy is a cool truck, its more a MT, with a truggy chassis, I know the driveline in the muggy is bullet proof, which is a big plus, but the savvy isnt weak either. :na: I think the savage is my game, unless anyone wants to tell me different:mdr: |
savage all the way baby. To be honest i have never driven a muggy. I seen a guy with one when it first came out and he said he hated it. (also didnt know how to tune correctly so this proly had a lot to do with his reactions)
|
I considered a Savage When I got my Muggy. I decided on the Muggy because I like the handling with the center diff. It will keep the power to the ground better than the Savage.
|
I suppose that is worth mentioning too. Savages don't handle. So if you want something that handles at all well don't get the savage. If you want something that you can hit a jump with wide open land badly on one wheel and go back and do it again get the savage.
