3s on brushed traxxas 12t ???
 

anyone ran 3s lipo on the 12t 550 motor that come in the traxxas xl-5 models? i saw where one was running 3s a123 and said it ran alot better but how do they run on a little more voltage than that?

I have run quite a few on 3s lipo, and they do fine. I have a tamiya double blaze that has a front and rear tranny. I run a pair of the 12t titans thru a novak super duty esc. The run good temps, truck is geared for 35 and is not very light. I use a clip on heatsink and the temps are just fine.
