Replacement Warranty for Quark?
I recently had my Quark ProCar 33 catch fire when running 4s. It is specified to handle this voltage and was set up properly. I ran this setup in my Mini Inferno ST for a month using 3s lipo with no problems. The ESC was purchased new in Feb. I've sent emails to Quark (Sky & Technology) but have not received a response yet. Anyone have some advice?:eyes:

You could try contacting your CC company or face defeat and buy a CC micro pro..

Thank you very much asheck, I will plead my case there.
Arct1k, I already have a cc micro pro and a few other 25-35amp brushless ESCs. I'm sure I speak for everyone here who has not abused equipment only to see it fail, in that I hope to have it replaced. |

I have a quark 33a pro car that I am replacing with a Mamba Pro (when it arrives). Any reason why you prefer the 33a over the micro pro other than the higher voltage handling. Also what motors have you used with the escs? My friends and I find the quark not to be smooth on the castle motors which is why I'm getting the castle controller. The 33a seems to work well with the wraith 7000 motor though.

I'm running a nice chrome outrunner with it. The Quark handles it very well without cogging issues at all. The outrunner has so much torque that I prefer to use the Quarks profiles to control it. BTW, I have quite a few mini's and each of them has a sweet set-up, from CC/Hyperion, CC/Permax, Quark/Align.. uh you get the picture. If ya don't, here's one that may help:

I got my 33a before this latest gen of CC controllers appeared so I didn't have that as an option. I bought it for the increased amps, but from what I've read/learned here, my old mamba 25s prob can handle just as much.
I've run a hyp 5000 long can, feigao 414L and 421s motors and getting ready to run a permax bl480. The 33a has never gotten much more than warm. I've also just replaced batt with a FP 1600 20C pac which should be the most power of any system I've run in my 18ths. I expect the 33a to do a good job with that combo also. |

I sent mine in a few weeks ago. Haven't heard anything at all. I think i might send them another email. I did get a response to my first one in a timely manner and they said they would replace it even though it was a few weeks out of the warranty period.

Hopefully their service will be as good as it was early last year. |
