Just ordered a Neu 2.5d tekno edition from impakt/tekno. I wasn't happy with the power out of my 600xl and the medusa I think is better suited to a buggy although it has good power. Hopefully I will have it by Friday (shipped express mail). It's just too hot in Houston to stress smaller systems, not that I was overheating but temps were higher than I cared them to be.

Its just too hot here period - the street in front of my house where I usually run temped 137F when I got home after work today. That'll make your tires disappear in short order!!

I'm staying inside, catching up on wrenching projects.

Did exactly the same thing that you, order a 2.5d but not the tekno one. I've order it from A Main.
I'll run it on 6s in my truggy.

I know what you mean about the heat its supposed to be 110+ all this week in Phoenix, I usually run my trucks on the weekend around 7am thats the coolest time of the day/night in the desert and @ that time it will still be pushing 90

The medusa is a stout little motor and I think in 70-80 degree weather it would be fine, it just heats up to high to my liking (160-170). I just don't like to stress systems unnecessarily. The main reason I bought it is because I thought the tekno neus would take longer to come out and I didn't want to wait for the CC motor.

I do think the medusa would be perfect for a 1/8th buggy though.........

Which means I will keep it for future needs that could spring up. :whistle:

The streets in my neighborhood are concrete and after baking in the sun all day, they give the heat back and hold their temp for hours, way after my bedtime. I'm up and off to work too early (4:30am) to even think about running early. Weekend is the only time left and its so hard to get up early after a long week, I have pissy neighbors who would prob complain anyway.

We are having the first rain at our house we've had in 17days, so maybe it'll be better. I sure would like to get some run time in.

Phoenix is similar when it comes to the cement holding temps, down in Tucson it cools down more at night. And about the rain last summer it didnt rain in phienix for over 140 days and it did set a record...people couldnt wait for the monsoon season
