how to find out how many C's a lipos has

hey i have a 1500mah 2 cell lipo and it does not say how many C's it is. all it says is its max charge 1c (1500mah) max disch 7c (10.5 A)

is it a 7C battery? cause thats its max discharge rate.

Yeah, sounds right since it is only a 1500mah 2 Cell. What brand is it?

drkros3 06.19.2008 01:01 AM

wattage. its a old battery but has never been used and it does not even have a connector on it.

but at work we have a 950mah battery that has a 25c and a 1330 that has a 13c

why do they have more c then my 1500?

Does it say that is it the Maximum Continuous Discharge or Maximum Burst Discharge?

Most should say right on the label - all mine give a continuous and a burst rating, some both in C and amps

Lipo performance has improved over time. Cells are getting better and that means more amps output which increases C rating.

My integy 1500mah 2S are 15C rated continuous and 20C burst. I have a 2S Flightpower EvoLite V2 1600mah and its 20C rated continuous, 30C burst. Its a better, newer batt than the Intergy. It cost more than the Integy too.

Your 1500 is either older when that was the best a cell could do or was made that way to suite some specific end use that just needed that amount of current.

the "C" rating is the total discharge divided by the capacity of the battery
