Mamba Max temps?

Just ran my new E Revo out in the driveway for a couple minutes at the most on 4s. I am running the Tekno Neu 1.5d motor with 2 2s 8k packs. I temped my MM with my Raytek and it was 170 degrees. Sounds hight to me so I shut everything off. All my settings are on low. Any ideas?

Have you disabled the internal BEC by removing the red wire from the RX connector?

Yes I did I took the entire wire out. From just calibrating it it got up to 114.

I got it off Ebay from a reputable seller that said it had maybe 15 runs on it. Yes it is frustrating.

No problem either bud just looking for some help. I tried calling CC but they were closed. Will try tomorrow again.

Not yet. Man those motor wires were mangled so I had to put fresh heat shrink on them and clean everything up. Will be using it pretty soon.

And to answer Jeremy1976:

Do you have any binding in your driveline? Have you tried changing gearing? Say to a smaller pinion or larger spur? You can't use the same gearing as you would on 3S without getting heat issues.

Are you running a fan on the ESC this makes a big differance. Also Double check you motor wires.Ive had my MM overheat because my 5.5mm motor bullets werent soldersd correctly. This will be acompanied by cogging at low RPM.I also have a Tekno Neu 1515/1.5D and since my MMM is being repaired Ive been using my MM with a BEC set at 6.0 volts and a Novak fan on 4s in my 8T.:whip:
