Industrial Castle link for RC uses?

I was wondering if there is any way of adaptings or getting a special edition of the Industrial Castle-link for use on the Mamba, Mamba Max, and Mamba monster....
I was browsing the "make a special edition" thread then looked at the software page on Castles industrial website... its got everything us Rc'ers want..

-Built in Data-logger
-RPM limiter
-spool-up time (accel limiter?)
and the list goes on ..:lol:

A lot of those "features" will eventually go into the RC versions, as a software upgrade. It just takes time to port the software to all the different platforms....

do it with the MMM as a suprise when you start running them off next week  i wish! but in the next 6 months would be AWESOME!!!

imagine that. u can have 6s and a stupidly high kv motor, but limit the rpm to a sensable limit and have crazy take off speeds. or is that just a stupid idea??

could be sueful as a way of learning how to drive a new powerful setup... or using different gearing. :)

brushlessboy16 06.25.2008 08:36 AM

or the Mamba Max

TruckBasher 06.25.2008 08:41 AM

Yeah, MM included I hope....specially since my MM is on its way.....I bought 1 so I can at least play with my toy while I wait for MMM

Just wanted to point out that some of the industrial features will not be available in the Mamba software -- because of the lack of hardware to support some features.

For example, current datalogging will never be available in the Mamba, because none of the Mamba designs have high accuracy current sensors.

And datalogging (if it becomes available for the Mamba) will be limited because of limited available memory on the Mamba.

Even some very simple data logging would be very usefull.

For instnace, Maximum current and minimum voltage and max motor RPM from the last pack would be very nice info for it to be able to display.

I would think basic datalogging would be a useful feature for Castle because it can help your repair techs see who was abusing their ESC with high V or high A...

brushlessboy16 06.25.2008 11:50 AM

hey, shhhhh brian! dont tell them that

Not if all that gets sent in is a pile of ash. lol :mdr:
