Crc/Brakekleen safe for electronics?
Is CRC or Brakekleen safe for electronics?
I ask this because it evaporates and leaves no residue... but im not gonna douse my mm in it before i get a clear answer:lol: |
NO!! It will eat and soften enamels and conformal coatings.
Use an electronics safe motor cleaner, or corrosionX. |
ok, i didnt use it, i just put some on a shop towel and wiped down the plastic case of the mm.. made sure i didnt touch the electronics..
Thanks! |
I have used crc lectra-clean for a long time, perk of my job I guess. I have never had any problems with it, but that is what it is used for, seems to be good stuff.
