RC10GT Conversion

I was going to do an RC10GT brushless conversion instead of selling the truck.. I have a new 7xl laying around.. I imagine this is to big of a motor for this truck.. what do you guys think or recommend?? I was thinking of just getting a mamba max speed controller and running it on 2s or 3s..

The 7 xl would be too big for that truck. The mm esc on 3s would make that truck scream. Have you considered a smaller Neu for the motor? Just a thought

The can of a 7xl is way too long... even an L can is pretty long and barely fits in the body. You will need to run saddle packs or very short stick packs as the chassis is very narrow.

It looks like maxamps makes a saddle packs thats 2s3p 6000.. what would be a good motor? a 7l?

The 7XL would be an amp hungry setup, you might have trouble finding a battery that will fit and deliver the power needed. I used a lehner basic XL 1200 motor (1200kv) and a 5s 2500 25c flightpower. I have it geared for low to mid 30's and it runs great, nothing is hotter than slightly above ambient. I run it in sand once and it got warm, but not too bad. The 7XL is a heavy motor and amp hungry, I would suggest a 1506 with a kv around 12-1500kv and go 4s or 5s lipo. I would gear for 30-35 and have fun
