7xl max amp draw.

Does any body know the max amp draw on a 7xl?
Trying to get a battery warrantied and they are asking me.
Thanks.

It's hard to determine, since it does depend on load, batteries, and ESC. I wouldn't be surprised if the 7XL could draw in excess of 150amps. The rating on the 7XL is 96amps, I think.

Close 95 amps - I'm guess for a claim you want it as low as possible ;) but I suspect would spike well over that

I killed a finedesign 4s 3700mah firefox pack running a 7xl nemesis. Cris sold me the combo telling me it would work fine and that if it did not he would gladly warrentee the pack or the motor...well he was wrong the 7xl was way to hot for the cheap 20c pack and it got to hot. He went back on his word and would not warrenty the pack...my loss.

A hard lesson...

I have never done any business with FD but from what I have heard thier CS has something to be desired.....

Hmmm. A 7XL's DC resistance is 0.0056 ohms, which happens at stall. So, at 4s, the theoretical current could be 2,642A. Of course, the battery, wires, connectors, ESC won't allow that...

well only for a little bit until the fire starts!
