Novak 6.5 HV or Neu 1512 2.5D/f for E revo?
I know that many will say Neu and the MMM but this will cost about $200 more and also, I had good luck with Novak on my 1/10 onroad car, perhaps better than the mamba max..
did anyone have expericence with this? Novak $ 230 COMBO Neu $250 MMM $ 180 diff is about $200 thankms.. btw, If i go with MMM/neu, I would want 6S where Novak is 4S so the differerence is another $100.. But overall, if Neu/MMM is worth $300 then I would get it... |
Depending on the time frame that you plan on having your Revo run, you may want to wait for the MMM system (ESC and motor). It is going to be about $300 street price from what CC says and then since the motor is 2200KV, running 4s on it would be perfect.

Neither.. Go with a 1515 (????) (Y or D) (S)..
Personnel opinion only..
A 1512 2.5d is a great 1/8 scale buggy motor, but a Revo is much bigger and heavier, I would think that a 1515 1y or bigger it would keep it running cooler, give you greater use of various gears options and provide you with a greater range of lipo's to use.. A Revo is fun on 4s, it great on 5s and it stupid fun on 8s.. plan for the future. Just a thought.. |

I think 10S is beautiful and 12S is just right for me . High voltage rules. Sorry I had to say that.

I have run 10s on my savage with the 14xl... I see no reason not to go the hv route....
I am also getting 35-40min runtimes with an 8s pack that cost me 120 bucks. 3600 12c polyrc cells were cheap a year ago, and with the 14xl they keep up fine. I spent twice that on my trakpower lipos, and for similar performace to the savage I have to run a neu and a mmm. Guess what setup is cheaper? |
I have been thinking about going with 10s and a 1515/2y in my converted Revo I dont expect very much more speed but more effiency.....
