The wires on my BK are like 12 gauge wire, and the wires on my gp 3300 packs are smaller (like 14 gauge.) Are the wires on my batteries a limitting factor in my brushless setup?

The smaller wires can technically transfer less amperage, but I doubt you would notice a significant difference if you changed them. I use 12 guage wire myself, but the 13 or 14 guage should be sufficient.

My packs came with thin little tabs connecting the batteries. I doubt that larger wire would help anyways.

If you are using stick packs, the point is pretty much null and void. The tabs are the limiting factor in your cae (thin metal that connects the cells).

That depends on the pack manufacturer. My stickpacks are soldered toghether directly. Without a crappy thin bar.

True. The end to end soldered packs are the best (better than using battery bars) when built properly. Less resistance. My comment was directed towards mmmm's comment on his own batteries (I assumed they were stick packs based on his description) and most production stick packs. A few smaller battery re-sellers do the end to end soldering. I haven't seen any "big" battery sellers doing this type of construction, though. If you know of any, let me in on it, will you! :)

Maybe they do. I get my batteries from the states, though. Shiping is expensive enough from overseas for the light stuf. Not to mention customs! The end to end packs are the best way to run high cell counts for sure, especially with the Schultze controllers!

Mike, these are the batteries I bought and was talking about. The seller used thin tabs to connect the batteries together. I don't think they are thick enough because the plastic wrap over the tabs have melted because of the heat. Too much resistance I guess.

Yep. The cells seem good, but the thin "battery bars" are a limiting factor in power output, and are no doubt causing the heat/resistance. It would be easy enough to rebuild them with better battery bars. It looks like 14 guage wire to me, too.
