Have you reset your end points after changing the software version?

q8-maxx 07.16.2008 10:41 AM

Sure I re program them everytime I update from pc

How about calibrating Mambas to your radio?

q8-maxx 07.16.2008 12:18 PM

I do that for my futaba 2.4 and my stock radio and the problem still here.
Is it Possible the reason of my problem is my batteries?

Yes, it is possible. IF your batteries can't produce enough current for the motor, the ESC is forced to slow the throttle ramp rate, to keep the voltage from dropping too much (don't want a BEC dropout to cause a loss of control!)

What you will see is a sluggish throttle -- you pull full throttle, and the ESC will not go to full throttle until the battery voltage recovers, and this can be a noticeable delay if your batteries are not strong enough to drive the motor.

That's exactly what I was thinking because my batteries was not full charged and one year old

Thank u Patrick

I get a similar thing that happens to my Slash. Currently running 7 GP3300 cells on the MM/5700 motor combo, geared stock. MM settings are: low start power, 60% punch control, 20% drag brake, lowest timing, reverse lockout, no LVC, and throttle/brake are at default (I use the expo settings on the radio). Radio is Spektrum DX3r.

Granted, I know the 5700 is a very poor choice, but it's the only extra motor I had lying around. Temps after a run are quite hot on the motor, and ESC is warmer than I like.

What happens to me is: I gently pull the trigger. The truck starts to move, but then it acts like it goes by itself for a second or two no matter what the trigger is set to. Not a big deal as I soon plan to run 4s on a MedUsa 50 series motor (around 2500kv).

That was my very first thought, (batteries) but you said it was fine before firmware update so i assumed you ran the same batteries and did not post.

q8-maxx 07.16.2008 03:15 PM

hey bl-is-future I'm sorry I did not explain my problem very clear. it was fine before update because the batteries was full charged

Hmm. I might get a chance to play with some settings tonight or tomorrow. The only thing I'm going to try is increasing the start power. If that doesn't help, I might go back a firmware version or two with the same ESC settings and see what happens. I'm not using a slotted stator motor, so using older firmware won't affect me too much.

bdebde 07.16.2008 03:19 PM

Charge the battery!

bl-is-future 07.16.2008 03:20 PM

only time i have ever had a problem like this is with bad batteries and/or radio interference.

Arct1k 07.16.2008 03:28 PM

Sadly they only do a 3300 or a 2200 50mm
