Anyony tried mounting a different style of body on a 1/8 buggy?

I am tired of my batts hitting on the body and ruining the paint job...I know, I know, pretty petty. I was thinking of putting a different style on for something a little different...any ideas? I have a MBX-5 if that makes any difference.

How about a Slash body? That's my next project...

Something like this?

A bit of OT...have anyone tried to put slash body on E-Revo?

I also think of putting 8th scale on-road car body on a buggy like the OFNA GTP or something

on paper the slash body should fit most 1/8 buggies. The erevo is wider than a buggy, like a truggy so the wheels would be wider than the body

Is that landmax ford on a buggy chassis with buggy shock towers?

I'm trying to do the same on my Turmoil. The wheelbase is perfect, in fact I think it fits better than it does on the Slash. The front wheels stick out a little farther than the body so I'll have to jack up the body a bit or trim the fenders. I picked up an extra set of Slash body mounts and a Kyosho Inferno GT body mount set to try out. I'll post pics when I get it done. I'm still waiting for my lhs to get the clear Slash bodies in. I'm also going to try to mount real fans in the back of the body not only for realism, but to help get rid of the parachute effect that giant body has.

Its the stock landmax body on the stock landmax/mp6
chassis. I did extrend the front towers to run buggy shocks. The landmaxes before the current GT series where all narrower than a 1/8 buggy. But the new gt versions are wider. Thunder tiger and ofna also make bodies the size of a 1/8 buggy. Here's the landmax and a eb4-s2.
