G2R X-Brace Chassis Preview

Well I thought long and hard about the name. I wanted to go with E-Revo but Traxxas legal department would be all over me.
I decided to keep it simple... "G2" obviously for the origin of the chassis and "R" for Revo.
I've added a link to a preview site on our home page at gorillamaxx.com
You'll see images of the second prototype also know as v2. The final version is in production now and will be very similar to this.
Click through the slides (6 total) for a few more views, including one with E-Maxx transmission and a set Titans (do you remember those?). This slide also shows how the EVX is mounted over the front shocks.

Enjoy and I hope you're as excite as I am.
Please don't be shy about asking questions or mentioning this on other sites. It would be great if you could help me get the word out.

Thanks and cheers!

oops, 1 question, when will it be out, will there be a cf version? And my last question is does it use stock center shafts or emaxx ones'? thanks.

gixxer 10.09.2005 07:28 PM

from the gorillmaxx site
"Carbon fiber version will be available later in 2006"
also "Kit requires custom solid center drive shafts (sold separately)"

Sylvester 10.09.2005 07:30 PM

yeah i found that out, i geuss i should read before i write :P

Heres a question that i asked and i looked gixxer:P I know the price is to be announced but will it be close to the origianl emaxx chassis , or like the special edition ones, also, i know this doesnt apply to every body but , what if you dont have the front or rear ends?

coolhandcountry 10.09.2005 08:27 PM

Mike said something about carrying the front and rears. He also said something about the dog bones for the center.

Looks amazing...two questions come to mind:

• Are the F&R Revo sections easy to buy or is one wiser to buy a complete Revo and sell off the "middle"?

• Any plans for a center diff version?

IF mike is going to sell the f and r sections. May be better off to wait.

WOW. I'm waiting on the carbon fiber version.

It looks great George!!

Say, those titans, what are those?? they look impressive!!

Dafni 10.10.2005 02:11 AM

Great! Well done George. And no worries about getting the word out! The Gorilla fans here are eagerly awaiting this kit. Just make sure to run a big batch!! This things will SELL!

And boys, you just have no worries about Traxxas parts and Revo f/r ends, Mike will hook you up. I'm sure he'll provide a complete package. Shafts, motors (not necessarily Titans ;) ) and whatever you need.

And for the centerdiff, Mike will come up with a centerdiff conversion (emaxx tranny replacememt) one day. Just a matter of time.

It looks amazing! I bought myself a revo roller a few days ago just for this chassis.

The only question I have right now is can I get mine with black foam and straps instead of the blue. My stock blue alum is all going to be black anod and it would look alot better.
