Shipping Question
 

I ordered an ESC from Tanic Packs and they sent me an e mail saying it was drop shipped...does anybody know what this means?

It means it's being shipped directly to you from the distributor or manufacturer instead of Tanic Packs shipping it to you from their stock on hand.

does this mean they didnt have it and it could be a while before I recieve it?

Not usually. What happens is that some dealers have agreements in place with the distributor or manufacturer so they don't have to stock the product to sell it to you. In turn, the distributor or manufacturer ships it directly to you and bills the dealer for the product. Ideally, it should be transparent to the consumer if both parties do their job correctly (dealer and dist/mamu). Where I could see a problem is if the dealer doesn't notify the dist/manu in a timely manner and the shipping to the consumer is delayed.
