G-Maxx with wheeli bar
Hi
I have build a wheelie bar myself for the gmaxx. It looks similar to this in this picture. http://rc4wd.com/shop/product_info.p...roducts_id=520 I have purchased a rear skid from GA an have mounted the wheelie bar on this skid. Now I want to add the gmaxx chasis extension, so this GA skid will not fit any more. Is there a skid similar to this from GA which has an extension of this 4 cm? Thanks for your help |
You would always get the wheely bar that goes on your rear bumper. I forgot the make, PSI or something, I have one and works really well.

Gusti, what skid is on your Gorilla at the moment?
One fine day I'll have to come over and see your truck in person! |
Hi Dafni
I have a GA rearskid with my wheelie bar. The Gorilla-Rear-Skid ist flat, so there is no angle to mount the wheelie bar. So when I mount the extension, than I need the gorilla skid, because the holes are different (4 cm extension) For this reason my question is, are there any rear skids from other suppliers with an angle. Thanks for your help. Gusti |
If you want to have a wheelie bar AND the extension, I see two ways:
-make (or buy) a wheelie bar that attaches to the bumper monting holes (bulkhead) -or make your own skidplate. Maybe a friend can do this, using the stock plate as a template. Not the easy way out, I know, but do-able. |
If you have a extra front skid. Flatten the bend out. I think it is the right length. Then you can mount the wheel bar to the skid like you have. Just make sure that it is the right length. I pretty sure but not positive.

@coolhand-yes, the front skid is the same as the rear if you use the extension.

The g-maxx extended skid is basically a front skid without the kickup, so any front skid will work, Gusti. You could also use your current wheelie bar over the g-maxx skid(just attach to bulks and cut off the part that attaches to the chassis braces).
