Bidproducts 125a esc?

I think I will be buying and testing this esc for my truggy project. It is so cheap I don't see how I can go wrong. I was wondering if anyone had any more info on this. Anything is greatly appreciated, thank you.

I dont see a price, but I would save up your money for a single good controller and go that route. I had a bunch of 80A esc like that and they melted. Its better to get a good one with a warranty and then you dont have to worry. You dont want to be the first one to try something new only to find it doesnt work.

The price is $34, it's at the very right of the page. Stupid location for the price IMO.

I still think I will give it a try. Get me running while saving for the godly MMM. lol

You will need to use mechanical brakes with the airplane controlelrs. If those are the same as the Himodel unit, it might work with a pistol radio without the pistix.

I was thinking about the whole machanical brakes thing and was hoping you could help me out a little with it. From what I was told I need to make a j-harness, to plug the esc and brake servo into the same channel. Now I don't understand how the servo is going to apply brake when I put brake on with the transmitter. How do they get synchronized with th esc?

Thank you,
PB

A Y-harness is one way to go. It would actuate brakes the same way as if there were no Y-harness.
Another way to go is channel mixing, if your radio is good enough. For example, on my Nomadio React I have channel 2 for throttle and I set up channel 3 for the brake servo for my Savage and buggy. Moving the trigger will actuate either the brake or forward throttle, since I set up the brake so that it has no throw when forward throttle is inputted.

I doubt my radio has that feature, but I will check. I am using a Airtronics mx-3s. The only thing that was keeping me from the 200amp esc was the listed dimensions, but it looks to be the same size just double stacked boards, so I might give it a try.

You will disable the ESC brakes to start with. The Y harness is ideal if you don't have a digital radio that has the channel mixing option. It's fairly simple the way it works. It's the same way it would work if you had it as a nitro.

Ok thank you. My radio is digital, but doesn't have all features.

Just go with the Y harness and it will work.
