Outwear pre filters for motors are here
|
I like that actually! Its probably very helpful when running in sand or a lot of dust. I think $15 is a little pricey for it though...
|
I don’t know
How will it stand up to 150 deg or higher temp motor (??) Good idea thou, creative I’ll give him / her that.. |
The run these on the pull start on the baja. I think they will cope with the heat of an electric motor easy.
|
a couple of things I am thinking about this product
1. the mesh is small it will plug up easy 2. depending on the material it may melt to a hot motor 3. I live in Arizona which is as dusty as it gets and I see no need for this my self |
Great idea. I think it would primarily benefit the users of "brushed" motors. Since it would keep dirt/dust/water out of the brushes/commutator.
|
Oh man, that looks so crappy its just not funny. Clever idea, but terrible execution. I would rather see a moulded sleeve that slid over the motor, with an end cap, rather than some draw-string bag stuck over my motor. Lame....

lol, they actually sell that? I wouldn't use it if it were given to me! Looks like a lazy DIY attempt to me. I'm sure it works ok, but fugly. An endcap kinda like Mike's Neu endcap except with a mesh rear panel would be much better IMO.

Looks too much like pantyhose for your truck. I say no thanks and will skip this one.
|
Well some people were already using them on their motors. Didn't think they would actually bring one out for motors though
