Anyone know if the Jammin CRT Big Bore will fit on a

Kyosho ST Truggy?

I've been needing some better shocks on the Kyosho and did an ebay impulse buy on the CRT 16mm Big bores for the back. Then it hit me that they may not work. Looking at some pictures of the two the crt look shorter and wider. They both are listed as 16mm big bores, but what are the exactly referencing with the 16mm?

16mm wide, the diameter of the shock body I believe

you could just buy some Kyosho ST-RR shocks, 16mm big bore and guaranteed to fit, and fluorine coated I believe.

16mm bore means 16mm bore (the internal diameter of the shock body).

Kyosho does sell 16mm bore shocks for the st-r (I don't know if they're the same as the st-rr shocks), so the diameter of the CRT shocks shouldn't be a problem. http://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced...46-04&x=12&y=6
They say you need part number KYOIF346-04 to mount the bigger shocks.
Not sure about length differences though, I guess you'll find out when you get them.

THanks. Those are the same shocks that are on the st-rr I believe. They would be upgrades for the st-r. I can't remember where I read Jammin x1x/crt big bores would work but had it in my mind they were an alternative to the Kyoshos. I don't race and don't want to throw a 150.00 into a set Kyosho shocks.

The shafts are almost the same lenghts. The CRT have 3.5x65mm listed and the Kyoshos are listed 3.5x66mm. Only one has the lenght of shock casing. LO/L = 61mm/. Not to be confused wit = 61mm/

Length outside/Length inside ??
I'm guessing that's the length. I think they will work. One way or another. Need to get springs for it and the shocks spaces you mentioned Patrick. THanks for the input guys.

After searching serveral forums looking for an answer to...... You strike gold and find a thread that is asking the same thing your wondering. Finally, an answer........ But no one came back and finished the thread with the answer (if they found one) it was just left haninging. Damn that's frustrating...:grrrrrr:

The 16mm Jamming CRT Big Bores fit fine. The ones I got were from e-bay and came with the spacers the Patrick linked to. You'll need them. I have some springs coming in the mail but couldn't wait any longer. Don't remember where the springs came from but the work great. Fit inside the spring retainer and a perfect fit on the bottom of the shock body.
