It just dawned on me.

Well I was cleaning up the work bench yesterday and was looking at all of the extra parts that I have left over from my E-Maxx, and then it hit me like a ton of bricks (a thought, not my maxx). I thought duh, why don't I build another maxx with all of my spare parts? So I've sorted everything out and the only major thing that I need is a tranny.

Does anyone have a spare that they are willing to part with for cheap (I'm still on disability till December :cry) or no of somewhere that might? There are a couple on ebay but they are going for over $50. I was trying not to spend that much if I didnt have to.
Thanks.
John

Reasonable idea! Do you want to keep it stock? Motor-wise?

Second hand trannies are not easy to come by. And they don't go for cheap. An easy way would be to get a new one through Mike, but there is already a good 20 bucks just in bearings in an E tranny.

I can imagine when a good center diff convertion will become available, it will be much easier to find used trannies.

Keep an eye on ebay nevertheless. I once got a complete tranny with spur, slipper AND almost new Titans for under 30 bucks. Lucky find, I guess.

Wow Dafni, $30, that was a great deal. I don't seem to have that luck though.
For now I will keep Maxx #2 stock. But you never know, I could take one of the 9Ls off of my dual BL Maxx someday. Yeah probably not.:D

I have a few parts john. I am not sure what I am going to do with them yet. I look and see what I have and what you will need. I not sure if it helps or not.
