Medusa 36-50-3300V2 & HB LS10

I found both in the mail today. :yipi: Got to get it going now. I see the Medusa has the holes in it like the Neu. I should cap the motor to close the holes correct?

Will the end cap Mike sells fit?

What have you other guys used?

I just took a piece of filter and strapped it around the end of the motor. It keeps particles out,but lets it breathe.

THanks. Thats a good idea.

should be alot of fun, i would stock up on dogbones...... i keep atleast 4 on hand and usually more than that becasue they break alot if bashing hard or running on pavement (the lack of center diff really kills the rear dogbones quick)

I ended up with an end cap made out the cap off a gallon milk jug. Drilled three holes for the wires and wrapped the last 2mm of the motor with black cloth tape. Fits on pretty snug. If it melt it will be time to get a different motor on it. I tried the same thing on an ammo. I abused that poor thing but milk cap stayed on and didn't melt until I fried the motor. My brain doesn't process information correctly when I'm show boating. I found some aluminum tape for heating/cooling duct work. I put a piece of that on for the front.

Thanks for the dog bone tip. I appreciate it. I'm putting some trx big bores on it for shocks. Had some difficulty with the stock tires/rims. It seemed to bind up going forward. Felt like a hard drag brake. Going backward it would roll a long ways after letting off the throttle. I might of had them to tight. I'm playing with some badlands and mashers from my traxxas collection on it now. Using those hexes don't have the drag problem anymore.

How about the steering? Any mods to tighten it? Different bellcrank or something? Any other tips would be appreciated also.

DONT use anyother pindrive wheel if you wanna switch wheels go with a set of traxxas 12mm hexs and electric front wheels all around. other wise itll tear the inside out of any pin drive 2.2 wheel pretty quick.

i dont really know what yo tell you for the steering as mine doesnt have any noticealbe slop in it

wait till you see my ls10 im working on; 1/8th scale buggy shocks all around, custom chassis with 13 inch wheelbase, 17mm hubs, komdo LPs on 1/2 offset truggy wheels, as crt.5 center diff for better handling, custom shock towers, itll also have the lightning 10 wing mount and wing.

Sounds like a nice setup. You'll have to post some pics soon. I replaced the bushing in the bellcrank w/ bearings. It's a bit tighter now.

I'm looking at parts on a-main web page for the LS10 and could use some help. They say this will fit the lightning series.

Are the lightning series all the same size rc. Will the parts be interchangable between them? All I see listed for Hot Bodies Lightning Pro, Lighting stadium, and the Lighting stadium 10. Are these all pretty much the same. I take it the pro is the better setup version? Any light that you could shed on this would be helpful. Thanks.

the one you linked is 1/8th hit the here you go http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6807

Gee 08.07.2008 07:07 PM

Thanks. So the lightning stadium pro is a 1/8th scale?

Okay think I got it figured out.

The Lightning Stadium Pro and Lightning Stadium are 1/8th scale

The Lightning Stadium 10 is 1/10th scale.
