Plans for an HV system...?

Does Novak have any plans for a new brushless system to run a little higher voltages... like up to 6s maybe? Many people like sensored systems for racing because of the smoothness, but would also like lower KV motors with higher voltages for better efficiency...

So does Novak have any plans? Or are in the process of designing/testing one?

From NovakTwo:
"The new HV Pro controller (#3221), shipping out separately and with the newly-released systems, is officially rated for 4s. However, the internal lipo circuit will allow it to be used with 5s lipos, but not 6s. I think that if 6s lipos are hooked up, the esc will not program.

We are still in the prototype stage for the 6s controller---Bob ran the protos for his testing of the new conversion kits."

We will have to wait for NovakTwo (or another Novak rep) to let us know how long they will be prototyping though (AKA share with us a possible expected by date like "Holidays 20XX" or "Spring/Summer/Fall 2XXX").

yea lower kv motor but also phiscally LARGER the HV motors just arent big enough all you need is two different motors to choose from say a 1700kv (5-6s) and a 2200kv (4-5s) make them BIG and with ultra smoth senored control and theyll sell for what ever you price them at if they could run 25-30 minutes in an 1/8 scale with no heat issues and no fans id glady give $350-400 for this setup and i know alot of novak loyal people who would like to get into 1/8 scale.

I'm hoping 2009 is in the ballpark....

I think we have one or two releases and a couple of updates left for this year. And then we slam into the Christmas season, when hobby shops like to start stocking up in September.

Last year we showed our upcoming conversion kits and Mongoose 1/18th systems at the Chicago show in October and then decided to redesign and retool and add gears, so the shipments were delayed until 2nd Q'08! Really bad planning, but the products were much better for the delay.

Tower is still showing our original Mongoose system photo---it is almost impossible to get them to fix errors.

whats the difference between the updated mongoose and the one shown on tower?

Just the photo shown with the 8.5 system. That was how it looked before we redid the case, heat sink and motor.....

The copy (Tech Notes) is OK.
