I haven't gotten any pop ups.
It is possible that you have spyware/adware on your computer.

Its labeled RC-Monster in the title of the popup. I'd imagine its from the site.

I havent gotten any popups. You'd want to run an anti adware/spyware program.

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 09:10 PM

get firefox

My comp is clean. I clean it out once a week with defrag and Spybot.

Takedown 08.18.2008 09:13 PM

I prefer IE just because I have flash player and all that stuff already downloaded onto it.

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 09:15 PM

firefox 2.0 is lightyears ahead
you can get all of those easily

even transfers all your passwords

im with Ben, every computer i get, first thing, download firefox.

BrianG 08.18.2008 09:19 PM

I don't get popups either, and I'm using IE7. Either Mike forgot to pay some type of advertising-free bill for his webhost, or your computer IS infected with some type of adware despite whatever programs you are using. Check your process list to see if you have any suspicious new programs there.

Takedown 08.18.2008 09:21 PM

Im going to run spybot right now to see what i have on my hands...

BrianG 08.18.2008 09:24 PM

I've had times where Adaware would pick up stuff that Spybot didn't and vice-versa. Also, keep in mind that some of the crap out there are getting pretty smart and may have defeated whatever algorithm anit-spyware programs use. Not saying this is the case, but something to consider...

Agreed. I use Safari on my mac (pretty much a copy of everything from firefox), but Firefox is just so much better than IE it's ridiculous.

TruckBasher 08.18.2008 09:47 PM

I dont think its from Mike...Might need to check your PC...it say RCMONSTER not RC-MONSTER definitely a spam. I suspect you have a worm or something....

I never receive those kind of pop-ups with my firefox or IE

Why? I hear that all the time from younger folk, but nobody ever gives a reason. When my laptop was out for repair, my daughter "banned" me from her laptop because I used IE when I got on it. She thinks that all her problems with her PC are from IE, NOT from all the file sharing crap sites she gets onto......
