Hello from Baghdad!!
 

Just wanted to post a great big HELLOOOO!!! from Baghdad and intro myself.

I am a soldier currently serving my 2nd 15 month tour in downtown sandy Baghdad, Iraq. Been active duty for 17 years..(ok all the young ones go... WoW... get it from all my new soldiers all the time). I recently had a change of mission and have a little time on my hands to return back to the hobby that I love. My first RC was A Tamyia Fox (the original one where the diff cups strip out and you had to buy the Thorp kit to fix it.... yep that one) and as normal RC person I went thru my phase of different RC Cars n Trucks over the past 15 years. I currently own 18 (Trucks, TC Cars, n Mini-z's ... and an E-Maxx that I did while I was over here the first time..with a HV setup from 3 years ago) only have 2 over here that I ordered and was shipped here. Ofna 9.5V ready for a brushless conversion and an E-Revo... got it last week. I have been poking around on these boards as a guest for at least 7 months looking up brushless set up's for the 2 RC's mentioned above. So I finally decided to sign up and say HI!!!!!

Welcome to the boards Merc. Like you, I have a little bit over 17 years of service in the finest navy of the world :). Right now, I'm currently stationed here in Japan. However, my little brother is kickin' some ass with the marines in Basra. Be safe out there bro.

By the way, see if you can hook up with some of the guys that built a track there.
