E-Slayer Opinions Please.

I just got my hands on a Slayer roller with the no engine, servos, fuel tank for $175 and a clear proline slash body to boot. In everyones opinion what would be better handling...get an e-revo trans and make the conversion or do a Tekno conversion. I would rather run e-brakes and ditch the mechanical ones. Looking for opinions and conterpoints. I'm planing to run an MM with a 1512 d2 or maybe go milder. I will run 1/8th scale buggy wheels and tires.

Well, if you want motor brakes, that pretty much leaves out the Tekno conversion route. An RCM motor mount and some type of battery tray would be easy enough. It's just a matter of mounting the ESC and Rx.

Oh, and for the tranny, since you already have the nitro one, you could simply lock it in second gear just like the regular Revo. Saves a few bucks that way. The gearing is slightly different, but you can make that up with the spur/pinion.

Thankyou, I wasnt aware of the RCM plate, that will keep the cost down. If I feel the handling and operation can be improved, I'll jump to the tekno conversion. I need some time to recover from the E-revo/ Neu conversion. My bank account is on life support.
