Wet Lipo's
I'm looking at buying a boat
http://www.proboatmodels.com/Product...ProdID=PRB3750 and plan to run Lipo's. What I'm worried about is the batts getting wet. I have read somewhere that too neutralize a Lithium battery before disposal you submerge it in water and it will no longer hold voltage. From what Ive been reading alot of boat guys do run Lipo's, I'm just concerned because it is likely that some water will find it's way into the hull. Has anyone ever got there Lipo's wet out bashing, or any advice from any boaters. |

eversinced you posted earlier in the weekend about wanting to buy a boat I too have been interested and have spent a lot of time doing some research and I have found that no matter how good a boats latch system is it is a good idea to tape the cowl area. I have since joined a few boat forums and that has been helpful let me know if you need a few links |
I've also joined at Offshoreelectrics and been reading up at RCU and RCGroups.
So your thinking of going with the SV27? I still really like the Formula Fastech, I'll check one out at the LHS on Thursday |

30 Mph is enough for me, I just want to tool around in my Inlaw's pond. I plan on running 2x 2s 6500mah as I can't see buying NiMh anymore.
My other thought was start with a hull and parts and build my own. If I like the FFT I'll get it if not build or maybe even a Villian Ex |
You will need to dip the ends of your packs in plastidip it's a it's a tool handle dip. Liquid rubber. Get a can of it at any hardware store for around 5 bucks. And yes water will ruin your lipo.
