Hi, does "START POWER" and "PUNCH CONTROL" settings can affect runtime and motor heating ?

Start power may not do much for either, maybe a bit more heat on hi. Punch control; more punch control may add very little run time and may reduce heat a bit. Lower timing will help lower the temps a bit too.

running higher punch control reduces the strain on the batteries, limiting the rate at which the throttle position can change, which in turn kind of limits the current it will draw if you go wide open from standstill (most brushless systems loose control when you do this anyway).

I've never notice any difference with any aspect of driving my car or with temperatures or anything when I change the start power...I don't totally understand it.

Theres no harm in trying though, change them and see if you notice any difference, thats probably the best way to find out :)

Start power seems to help with high geared setups, and with higher pole count motors. Punch control will help with the high current demands present at startup and during driving when the throttle is punched...

Limiting the punch will help the batteries stay a bit cooler and should extend runtimes a bit. I ususallt set it at 50% and go from there. If you have good batteries it helps to tame wheelies on 4wd and spin outs on 2wd. I usually find gearing has the largest effect on runtimes and temps.
