How to mount the monster on an eRevo

I used industrial velcro but it comes loose (stuffing into the landing ramp on the triple doesn't help)

Thanks!!

I used a piece of kydex, and drilled 2 holes so that it would bolt in where the evx goes. Then I used some double stick tape to hold the MMM on. Since the chassis has a square of foam under the evx, I cut a section out so that I could put a zip tie under the kydex and wrap it over the mm to hold it in even better. My MMM does not budge, I can lift the truck up by the esc...

I used a piece of scrap aluminum.

I bent it and painted it (with a sharpie)

I used one of the origional holes in the chassis to mount the plate and drilled a new one as well.

once the plate was secure, I double side taped and zip-tied the MMM to it.

as it turns out, it wasnt a bad idea

You could try a 3m double-sided pad, I've used those for Rx and ESC mounting before and they work really well until you burry the entire RC underwater, then they start to loosen up :p

That's crazy Hoov. Looks like the mounting plate did it's job well, though. Great job on the construction and I may do the same thing.
I'm using one of these:

There are actually 2 screw holes in the chassis where the inside screw went for the EVX, so I have a button head on the outside edge and a flat topped screw on the inside of one of the adjustment slots. Stays put rather well with the MM and should handle the v2.2 once it's here.
Hope mine doesn't melt down. :(
That happen with 4 or 6S, Hoovartid?

gixxer 09.08.2008 07:15 PM

I just used shoe-goo mine, since the industrial velcro didn't hold good enough.

I am thinking I am going to find tip ties that have screw boss in them. The velcro almost holds I just need a little more holding power ....

I was running 6s at the time.

I use the TRC 2s 15c 8000's for my 4s set-up
The zippy 3s 4300 20-30c for my 6s.

I just picked up these though to use instead: LINK

I use this stuff (Parma Pro Servo Tape)
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6183
for mounting escs and receivers. It holds really tight on both plastic and bare metal and unlike regular double-sided tape it is very easy and clean to remove. It comes off just like the stretchy glue stuff that holds removable ad cards in magazine inserts and on covers.
