Ebay: Something I noticed

Several months ago as most know ebay changed the rules quite a bit. One particularly irritating item was the fact the neutrals now effectively worked as negatives in your feedback score thus reducing your feedback percentage. Another point was the fact sellers could only leave positive feedback.

I just logged onto my account which I haven't used in a while because I was pretty pissed at ebay and noticed that neutrals are again not playing a part in total feedback score. I was very happy to see this and wanted to know if anyone else has noticed it and when it went into effect.

I am very happy they changed it back to how it was and wanted to know if any other major changes happened as a result of unhappy users?

Not sure about any other changes, but I think the nuetral one has been in effect for about 2 months or so? In any case, I am glad to as it boosted me back to 100%. Not that I worry too much as I am an honest guy anyways. I still think sellers should be able to leave whatever feed back necessary however as there are bad buyers just as much as there is bad sellers.

ebay made an announcement in August that from September Neutral comments will not affect the overall score. I think it started to hurt the Power sellers which made them lose there Power Seller status. Remember your %score is not calculated from your lifelong positives and negatives but from the last 12 months which also makes a difference to some ebayers.

they also trialled paypal only here in australia... didnt work out so great when people charge 25 postage fees for using paypal and $5 for using bank deposit

its still in effect but the general consensus is 95% of the people just say they wont accept paypal or they will charge 5x more to use it - effectively wiping the option out. personally i hate it.
