Gearing 9l in maxx
 
ok im getting my controller back from bk soon and want to now a good place to start on the gearing as im assuming thats what blew it ive got a 9920 controller and a 9L motor running 12 or 14 GP cells

how much weight is the truck? What kind of diffs are you running. What about transmission? What kind of truck. What size pinion? Are you running mod 1 or 32 pitch?

Weight hard to say atm its stock but next time i run it itll have the g-maxx chassis single speed and motor mount.

Maximizer 7075 Aluminum diff cups with stock gears

pinions: 5mm bore 32 pitch pinion gears

and its an E-maxx :S

hope this helps want to get anything extra i need ordered so im not waiting aroun when i get my ESC back

I'm running a 9L with a BK18120 controlloer. I run the Strobe slipper with 14/51 gearing. Also have UE diffs tho.

15 or 16 tooth with 66 tooth spur should be a good starting spot.

i was running 16/66 when it blew personally i dont think it was anything to do with the set up and the controller shorted its self and bk just wanted more money out of me but hey ill try it again see what happens

go back to a 15 and try it out. The size of your tires if they are big like the big joes or something. I would drop a couple teeth.

they are standard proline tires
