pinion for revo & problem signal

do I give you excuse the bad English, do I give The hopes that she am the correct section where formulated to the question, gives The have to converted revo to electric with to novak hv for 4.5, that pinion advised to use with to 40 spur gear?

Other question: often to 50\60 meters I lose the signal radio and I don't understand because, I have used a multiplex 404 and now use a 3pk futaba always to 40mhz, but the problem persists.

thanks regards Al.

Al, where are you from and what is your native language?

You are doing well I just want to help you more. We have people on this forum from all over the world and probably have someone who can speak with you in your own language to help.

What gears are you using in the transmission?
Are they the stock revo gears?
What tires are you using?
What batteries/voltage are you using?

REfuso 10.01.2008 02:26 PM

I am Italian,
I have stopped the transmission in 2° march
I use stock revo gears
tires is dirt bonz

Ciao come siete? - benvenuto a RCM!

That is a VERY fast 5000kv motor you will need to go as small as possible 9T.... Novak 5109

In reality I'm not sure that it will survive 4s Lipo and 70k RPM for very long. Even novak say "is best used for short, high-speed runs"

I would be looking to get something with a lower KV.

Differential Ratio: 2.8461538461538462
Transmission Ratio: 2.2941176470588233
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 40
Pinion Tooth Count: 9
Total Voltage: 14.8
Motor KV: 5000
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor coil Ω: 0
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.44 : 1
Total Ratio: 29.01961 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm)
Total Motor Speed: 74000 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 44 mph (70.68 km/h)
Estimated Adjusted Speed: 41 mph (67 km/h) - 6% loss
Effective KV Value: 5000

The loss of signal is due to the interference from the motor and the ESC.

Place the RX as far away from the ESC/Motor as possible and braid your motor wires together.

La perdita di segnale è dovuto l'interferenza dal motore e dall'ESC. Disponga il RX lontano dal ESC/Motor come possibile ed intrecci i vostri legare del motore insieme.

thanks for the answers and for the welcome one
thin to I have now made about ten discharges with the pinion 12T, spur gears 40T,
I have disabled the brake motor and reverse, use the mechanical brake.
The rx is positioned the most distant possible by the motor\esc.
From the first start I have had problems, I had read on the loss of signal of the radio for interferences from the motore\esc but also moving the rx I have not resolved.
I now try to read the link of Arctik.
hi and thanks Al.

I'm starting to see a lot of threads lately about Novak systems and radio problems.

REfuso 10.01.2008 03:27 PM

a photo of the loom to have a' idea of the whole.
tomorrow I try to change the I install radio, I will make a test with the radio traxxas to 27mhz

27mhz will most likely be worse - most brushless setups are using 2.4ghz which almost eliminates the glitching.

I wonder if having the wires run so close to the brake mechanism has anything to do with it. Could the brake assembly spinning possibly create any static? Maybe also check the battery wires in relation to the ESC wire going to the receiver.

I also did not realize that motor was spinning at 70k rpm, not a recipe for longevity.

I think maybe going with the 5.5 motor would be a better bet like Arct1k suggested.
