1515 1Y and 1.5D available @ Impakt

Looks like the Tekno NEU 1515 1Y and the 1.5D are in stock at Impakt RC.

I have a 1.5D and just snagged a 1Y

DwightSchrute 10.01.2008 02:54 PM

i bought a 1515 1Y on saturday, and it arrived today....it wasn't a tekno, it was one of the smooth, handmade versions.

DwightSchrute 10.01.2008 03:00 PM

hold that last statement...i must have gotten one of the last hand made ones, cause now their out of stock.

JaySki 10.01.2008 03:32 PM

I don't think the Tekno and the Smooth 1515 motors are any different other than bearings, finned can, and sealed ends.
If I recall, they are both Hand Wound.

They also come with 4mm bullet plugs pre-installed (except for the 1.5D), but yes, they are the exact same motors with a different can, bigger bearings, and sealed ends.

they all have 13mm bearings now (tekno, Og Smooth/f), Unless Stevie changed something on the Neus again

I'm waiting on the 2.5Ds, it's the one motor they have that isn't in stock :diablo:

I already own a 1.5D, it's an incredible motor but in my Muggy it's pulling way too many amps and it's draining my lipos really fast.

I am a little scared when i read this, because i have order a 1512, 1.5d for my slash (it is light than a Muggy) and i will run it with TP 3s, 5000mAh, i hop that this motor will not pull too much amps from my pack:oh:

I wouldn't worry about it. That motor can actually move a 1/8th buggy OK with proper gearing. By my estimates, as long as your battery can put out 110 amps it'll be fine. That lipo is a 25C pack, right? If so, it should work without a problem. A 20C 5000 mAH lipo would work, but it would get strained a bit under heavy loads (proper gearing and it probably wouldn't be an issue).

david lamontagn 10.03.2008 10:08 AM

Yes my Thunder Power 5000mAh pack is rated 25C and and can put out 125A continous.
This is for the run time, i think that my runtime will be cut by a good 7-8 minutes compared to my Feigao 10L.

But anyways, i have an eagle tree on order, so i will verify how much amps this motor will pull from my pack, and if my run time is too short, i will use my Neu 1509, 2700Kv to the place of the 1512. Little bit less torque, but longer run time.

And the 1512 will be for sale here:wink:

Thank you!

lincpimp 10.03.2008 11:57 AM

I think you will be fine David. What speed do you plan to gear for? I would say that a neu would give you better runtime than the feigao.

Plus the slash is light, and only has so much traction, so the draw will not be as much as a heavier 4wd vehicle.

david lamontagn 10.03.2008 02:19 PM

I'll be gear 13/56 on the 1512, 1.5d (3200Kv) on 3s for about 43m/h (on Brian calculator), with Jato 32 pitch spur and pinion and badlands tires (4.8" diameter).

it does better than move a 1/8 buggy ok. i have that motor on a Losi 8 and it flies at 50+ mph. if i gun it the thing will wheely right over. however, this is with a 4s. i use losi's new 4s battery. 25c i think. perfect combo in my opinion. max rpm with the 4s is right about 40k rpm if i recall. that motor can handle 60k rpm.

Perfect!! and i'am plan to buy a crt.5, and i'll put this motor in it on 4s too. Maybe too much power for a crt.5, but what do you want, i'am crazy:lol:

no, i think it could be awesome! i am wanting to do the same thing. i was bidding on a CRT .5 Rc Monster BL on ebay and then the seller backed out of the sell. i was bummed. he had the velineon 3s setup in it and said it was quick but i am sure it could handle a Neu/MMM setup. especially with RCMonsters extended chassis setup.
