Compared to? Overall it may not be the best because of the high batteries, high COG 2. the steering is very sloppy and tires move all over ok? try getting new tie rods 3. what is the best batteries for this truck Nickel cells or Lipo? 4. will the extended frame help with racing depends, it will make the truck stable but will decrease steering 5. will these beat a E-Maxx 16.8 In My oppinion, no- the emaxx has a lower center of gravity, and they are faster IIRC |
BB the e-savage is much faster stock for stock but yes the e-maxx is a little better design. the e-savage is not really that great except for tooling around(breaks parts if jumped a lot). I had one and sold it a week after i bought it. Although i got it when it was brand new and first came out and now they have hop-ups for it so it could be a better machine now.

I had the e-zilla and e-savage and bought fma extended chassis for both. I made both brushless (9l and 10L feigaos) and the trucks drivetrain wouldnt hold up no matter what I did. I also had both emaxxs and the new one I think is better than the e-savage(the emaxx will out handle it) I also have the e-revo now that thing is awsome! If you want an electric savage get a nitro one and convert it. I gave the e-savage to my brotherinlaw I think I am going to get him to order the fma conversion chassis b/c the drivetrain of the nitro is much stronger(its the only way to get it to hold up)

There are lots of goodies out there to get an e-savage going fast and reliable. Here's a fella with a 5s lipo monster that's working well:

Check out www.gcmachine.ca - they have great products. The single most important upgrade for your esavage is the GCM roadboy chassis. Followed by improved shocks and wheels/tires. GCM also sells bulletproof diffs for the esav and extended arms and cvds.

Probably also want to convert to 17mm hex wheels (E-Sav 17mm adapters available from HPI), that helps some with the wobbly wheels. Good luck with your project...see you on the other side. |
