springs for overweight CRT
well I finally got to run my CRT on 5s today, and now im really pushing the limits with the stock springs. they are way to soft for my 10+lb brushless monster. What springs are you guys running in your truggies to get them stiffer?
on another note what center diff oil should I run? I would like it to be the thickest stuff I can run without it wheelying to bad. if it pulls the front tires up from a stop thats ok, but if it pulls them up at race pace then thats too thick for me. Thanks! |
My first CRT had big bores and so does the one I just bought. The older one used purple springs and the one I have now has silver springs. Hope this helps.
Put 100K-300K in the center for starters. |
change the shock oil and add pre load to the shocks.
try 50wt all around the stock springs non big bore are blue and thats the firmest non big bore jammin spring for the center diff try 30k a good agressive diff setup for the crt is 20k-30k-1k makes the truggy awesome on power and offpower |
For the center? Are you sure? That's pretty light for a center diff when he wants THICK fluid.
|
with 30k in the center of a crt it will try to pull wheelies anything thicker is overkill
|
I havent been on in forever, becuase my MMM went, but I will probably just throw really thick fluid in the shocks, and try some 100k diff fluid. as long as it doesnt wheelie at every touch of the throttle like my revo did. It could be awhile before I get my MMM back.
