Lehner vs Feigao

Which motor do you think is better for a stampede, the lehner 4200 or the 8s. I'm planning on running 10 cells. I've had great experience with the lehner, but the price of the 8s is tempting. Are they pretty similar in performance?

I got a 8S for a rc10T2, i was thinking about the lehner as well, but i got the 8S.

they are pretty simular in performance. the the lehner though, has got a screwed endbell, and the 8S takes the rc-monster heatsink/clamp to keep in one piece. (not that it will fall apart that easy, but it's nice to add a little safety, and it keeps the 8S running cooler as well.)

Praps it will be best to get the Wanderer 8s mike is getting in-stock, roughley the same price as the fiego and suppose to have more durable bearings etc.

RC-Monster Mike 11.19.2005 12:19 PM

I won't have the wanderer 8s for a little bit. I will slowly phase the wanderers in as the Feigaos go out of stock. Perhaps a Feigao sale is in order!

Did I hear SALE?!:D

Dafni 11.19.2005 02:45 PM

Did I hear T2, Rene?!

Serum 11.19.2005 02:57 PM

LOL, yeah Daniel! a generous gift!

what do you say? 6-7-8 Nimh's or a 2-3S lipo? 6 to start with?

Dafni 11.19.2005 03:20 PM

I would suggest you put it in a box and send it to me!! :D

Seriously, 8S? How many cells fit in there? 8 cells if I remember correct? Go straight to 8!
Lipo? Of course, man! If you have some.

I have a T2 with a Lehner 5300 in it, that was the ultimate bashing combo, until I had to sell the shock springs with my old Pede........now it's just been sitting, raped of it's vital parts, for the last couple of months.

Serum 11.19.2005 06:17 PM

Is it durable Dabid?

crazyjr 11.19.2005 07:22 PM

Serum. the T2 and T3 are both very durable. I have a T3 and a friend has a T2 and we tried to break them one day( no wallshots, just straight out bashing) and neither broke. The T2 will serve you very well.

dabid 11.20.2005 03:09 AM

T2's more durable than the T3 though, the T3 has a few weak points, and my brother tends to find them. I have yet to change any of the plastic parts on my T2 since I bought it for $30 as a roller, just some Lunsford turnbuckles and balls studs, some RPM ball cups, and that's about it. The sucker's built like a tank, especially because of the alum. tub chassis.

Serum 11.20.2005 05:21 AM

Great to hear! towers has got nearly every replacement part that i can imagine. (tried searching the exploded view, and nearly any part is available, exept for the tub-chassis.

That balldiff. how tight does it need to be? with my mini-t it needs to be so tight that it allmost doesn't work as a diff anymore (3-racing) otherwise, the balls will die in a matter of time..

I can also get Associated parts, Rene. I also found the T2 to be a nearly indestructable truck. I added 1/8 links as the rear upper turnbuckles and never broke anything after this mod. I wish I hadn't sold it, actually.

Serum 11.20.2005 12:16 PM

That is great news Mike.. i mentioned towers, only that in knew from them, that the parts are still available. Good tip in the 1/8th links. I am starting to get curious at this little bundle of joy.. Did you drove it brushless as well Mike?
