T&E-Maxx tranny
 

I was reading some place that(atleast what I got from it) the E-maxx tranny is a manual shifting tranny? Is this true? Also is the E-Maxx tranny a bit stronger than the T-Maxx tranny?If so could I use one on my T-max I dont use the reverse servo or the radios 3rd chanel. It would be great to shift when I want it to or not shift till I want it to.

You need a one way bearing in the transmission, the e-maxx hasn't got that. it is true though, it has got a manual shifting.

If you go with a foward only single speed it has no one way bearing. The only problem I would see is the brakes.

I tried to put my T-Maxx tranny into my E-Maxx and that wouldn't work. Motor plate didn't fit, and the output shafts are smaller on the T's tranny.
I know you were talking about an E tranny into a T, but I thought I'd share my experience.:D

Btw Serum, what does a one way bearing do?

A one way bearing looks like a normal needle bearing, but it can only turn one way on a shaft. If turned in the opposite direction, it grabs on to the shaft. (really hard as well)

Thanks Serum. I have yet to take my T-Maxx tranny apart so I am not familiar with what it looks like inside like I am with my E-Maxx tranny. What purpose does a one way bearing serve in a T-Maxx tranny?

Shifting, for the most part, there might be some in the reverse mechanism too, but I've never had a Maxx or seen the guts of a tranny.
