Brushless question.

When I get my brushless together on my E-Maxx (9L & 9920) do I need to run a UBEC or can I get away without it. I would rather run this as apposed to a receiver pack if I end up needing one.
Thanks.

Technically it works, depending on your cell count. But I would recomend an UBEC anyway. Removes some "stress" from the ESC, gives 6V to the servos, and is light and reliable.

Thanks Daf.
I will be running 14 cells on this setup. I have an UBEC on my dual BL now, but didn't know if I needed one on my single setup.

I think it is a good idea to run one. I had a problem of hesitation through the built in bec in mine on 12 cells. Just my experience.

I too fancy the UBEC, that has got a own powertransformer to create the voltage, the bec in the controller is a simple voltage regulator.

I'd say it's best to run a rx pack or UBEC over the stock BEC as well, all of my Warriors have run better that way (7018, 9918, 9920).
