Zippy-R question
 

Is somebody could tell me WHY we can buy a Zippy-R, 4800mAh, 4s, 25C for $77.00USD, and a TP 3850, 4s will cost $180.00:gasp::gasp::gasp:????
Somes tell that this Zippy-R have enerlands cells on it, and it's only $77.00 for a 4s, 4800mAh at UnitedHobbie.

One of my friend (E-Mike) run 2x 4800, 3s Zippy-R in it's revo and he tell me that this pack perform very welll for the price.

So what's the advantage to pay 3 time the price for another brand:neutral:

warranty, durability and a nice big brand stickers on it. There is lot of good reviews about overall performance of zippy battery but not much about durability.

But I have both zippy H and zippy K and I never experienced in 6 month any fall in term of capacity or performance..

IMO the Zippy R cells are not as good as a FP but they are close, I have run them against my FPs and the FPs have better punch and don"t get as warm

I run the Zippy H 3s 5k packs and they outperform my MaxAmps 3s 5k and Venom 3s 5400s. The FPs are crazy expensive compared to the Zippys. So you can buy 3 packs for the price of one.

so what's the diff between the zippy r, the zippy-s and the zippy-h and which's better??

Zippy H : proven and probably the best bang for buck deal out there. Based on one the best cells available in china (copyright Mr Admin from Hobbycity)
From my experience they are indeed the best deal right now and more than enought for the average joe looking for a first brushless setup

Zippy R : said to be based on Korean cells, equal to zippy H in term of quality but might be more durable

Zippy S : I don't know

The difference is the C rating.

The green zippys are 15c

The blue zippy-H's are 20c (although the 5s 4000 mah packs can be 25-35c)

The white zippy-r's are 25c

The zippy-H's work great. They do have some durability/build quality issues, but nothing major. You might get a broken balance connection every now and then. But at less than half the cost of the name brand packs, the risk is worth it. The performance is top notch though in terms of punch. The only difference I can tell between the zippys and my expensive packs is that the zippys don't like being run down hard to the LVC (the sometimes go out of balance or one of the cells may not bounce back from below 3 volts). My zippys usually take in more than the rated MAH too.

I think the Zippy R's are old or overstocked Enerland cells (the cells used in the expensive packs).

There is going to be a huge drop in prices in the lipos over the next year. I just picked up two Neu Energy 5s 4350 packs for $125 bucks each from Neu. Supply is catching up with demand with more competitors in the market.

the H and S are made in china, the R made in Korea

I just hit 50 cycles on a 5000mAH 6S pack and it is still going strong. I only paid $135 for it and I'm starting to regret my FP purchases which were more than double that for the same thing!

really? ive found my 4s 4800 25c to have just as much if not mre than my polyquest pack, and my old fp that i had, that one was hurt tho

So I want to get a Zippy H 5s pack and have a hyperion charger what balance plug do I need that will fit in my hyprerion balancer/charger?Are all the plugs that plug into the balancer the same?I know the battery balance plug is different for the Zippy.

So do all the balancing harnesses' have the same plug configuration end that plugs into the balancers?And then differant battery end configurations?

Unsure but the jst plugs are the same exact plug as Align balance plugs so you might be able to pick one up locally.
